Content emphasizes personal and exploratory photography, photo memoir, family photography for hire and personal documenting & techniques related to photographic works in the art world.

  • Visiting Artist Series

    The Visiting Artist Series is the core of MEMORY CULT, connecting members to the photographers they love. Hosting four speakers per year, members enjoy direct access for to a Speaker Q&A, submitting questions beforehand and speaking with artists live.

  • Weekly 1:1 Mentoring

    Creative availability is the hallmark of MEMORY CULT. We are a workshop community. Ideas flow generously within the context of a strong philosophy of the individual. Weekly 1:1 office hours serve members seeking feedback, critique, advice, technical knowledge and support.

  • Monthly Projects

    Monthly projects range in complexity and lean heavily toward development of new ways of seeing and printing your work. Past projects include a conceptual softcover photo book, the development of personal folklore & myth-making, romancing the family archive, works in and around bodies of water, seeing the self and experimental remote photography.

  • Group Critique

    MEMORY CULT has four groups meetings: The Magic Patio monthly project presentation, SYLLABUS Book Club, topical Roundtables and the newly added Group Critique. Meetings range from loose and informal storyteling to rigorous critique designed to expand clarity and coherence within a body of work.
